Green Business of Trees
Green Business of Life-Giving Trees
From a sound green business perspective trees may well be man’s best friend. They give us so much to be thankful for. First and most importantly, they provide us with life-giving oxygen; without them there would be no mankind. Very simply, our lives depend on trees. Beyond that most fundamental dependency trees give us sustenance in the form of delicious and healthy fruits, nuts and even nutritious leaves, roots and bark.
Additionally, many important medicines are extracted from trees. Trees give us welcome shade from the sun and provide us with one of our most important building materials. Wood is universally appreciated as a source of attractive and functional furniture. Paper for books and newspapers, cardboard for packaging, matches, toothpicks, and a seemingly endless list of other products all come from trees. Beyond the green business and commercial value of trees their aesthetic qualities are also numerous.
Nurturing Trees
Who does not enjoy a walk in the woods? Trees provide relief from our lives that are too often surrounded by synthetic materials. To lie in the shade of an ancient giant relaxes us deeply and puts us in contact with the simple grandeur of nature. Here in the tropical rain forest of Pavones the animal life abounds. The trees are alive with critters large and small. Great flocks of parrots and parakeets inhabit the forest, monkeys of 4 different species leap and swing through the branches of these vital trees.
For all these reasons and many more it is hugely satisfying to plant trees and watch your own forest grow. It is equally gratifying to plant orchards of diverse fruit trees that are not only beautiful but will provide delicious and healthy fruits of seemingly endless varieties. The green business with commercial plantations of teak and other valuable hardwoods represent a financial return of many times over the cost of planting and maintenance.
Planting Trees
Personally, I have invested in the green business of trees and have planted over 100,000 trees for myself and others. I strongly encourage anyone with a little room to spare to fill that space with trees. Planting trees is one of the best ways to comply with the very appropriate maxim, “Think globally, act locally.” Your trees will take pressure off Pavones’ local natural forests (or anywhere on the planet) and provide you and your neighbors with all the positive benefits listed above.
Please hold this idea in mind if you do choose to purchase property in Pavones. I would be happy to discuss options, suggestions and ideas to help you invest in a green business of planting trees here.
